FEMALE ADVANCEMENT – HARMONY CHICOOSE

Pilot Mound Hockey Academy is pleased to announce that Female Buffalo, Harmony Chicoose, has committed to Johnson & Wales University (Div III) for the 2021-22 season. Harmony will join Heaven Moneyas as a Wildcat.

Harmony has worn the Yellow and Black with pride since the inaugural female season in 2017. She will be our first PMHA four-year graduate from PMCI! Before our current Covid season, Harmony has played in 146 games, scoring 10 goals, passed the puck to get herself 27 assists, and has sat in the penalty box for 50 minutes over her career.

A message from JWU Head Coach, Katherine Hannah:

“We are thrilled to add Harmony to our team. We feel she exemplifies the true character and what we are looking for when elevating this program. She is an extremely hard worker, smart, strong, and reliable defense with a huge upside. She makes great first passes out of the zone, excellent vision of the overall ice, and will continue to get better day in and day out. She has the commitment level we look for and will be exciting watching her develop being challenged daily on and off the ice. We look for her to make an impact as a freshman and are honored and thankful to have her a part of our team and family. We want to thank Harmony and her family for the support and also Pilot Mound for the collaboration throughout the recruiting process.”

A message from PMHA Co-Head Coach, Brad Platt:

“I’m really excited for Harmony to be moving on to College hockey after this season in Pilot Mound. Harmony will be our first 4-year student-athlete in our program and it shows, she is more than ready to move on to this next big step. Harmony came to Pilot Mound in the first year of our female program and it didn’t take long for me to see that she was and is a natural leader. Coming here in grade 9, and now in her graduation year, Harmony has grown so much on and off the ice. She plays defence and was pretty comfortable but we wanted her to step out of that comfort zone and work on the offensive part of her game which she completely exceeded our expectations. Harmony has all the tools to become successful and I have no doubt that she will be. Good luck at Johnson and Wales University, Providence, RI”

Congratulations Harmony, and best of luck next season!
