PMHA Year End Banquet: A Celebration of Adventure, Achievement, and Community

The Pilot Mound Hockey Academy wrapped up another successful season with a Year End Banquet full of excitement, camaraderie, and well-earned celebration.

The day began with a trip to Winkler, where athletes pushed their limits and bonded over a range of outdoor adventures. Canoeing, paddleboarding, kayaking, ziplining, archery, rock climbing — and even the thrilling Human Slingshot — made for a day packed with action and adrenaline. It was a fitting tribute to the grit and spirit that PMHA athletes display all season long.

After the adventure-filled afternoon, athletes returned to PMHA for a Texas-style BBQ feast that could rival any smokehouse south of the border. The savory meal set the stage for presentations from team coaches, leadership groups, and PMHA management, who shared reflections on the season, celebrated individual and team achievements, and expressed gratitude to players and families alike.

The evening wrapped up with a lighthearted twist — a spirited Kahoot game that tested how well student-athletes really know their coaches, staff, and each other. Laughter and friendly competition filled the room, proving once again that PMHA isn’t just a hockey academy — it’s a family.

One bittersweet note: the Male U17 Prep Tier II Championship rings, eagerly anticipated by players and staff, unfortunately did not arrive in time for the celebration. Their absence, however, didn’t diminish the pride felt throughout the evening for a championship season that will long be remembered.
