Anthony Florentino returns as head coach, and Tyler Dixon will join as an assistant coach.
Anthony returns to PMHA following his time with the U18 program last season as an assistant coach. Anthony had a successful 7 years of pro hockey in the AHL, ECHL, and SPHL. Anthony is no stranger to academy life and hockey progression, spending 3 years at South Kent School playing hockey and baseball, played with the U17 USA National Team Development Program, received a full scholarship to Providence College where he played 4 years at NCAA level, and was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in 2013.
Tyler joins us from Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he played AAA hockey and Baseball growing up. After his playing career finished, he started coaching with the minor hockey program he grew up playing for, the Halifax Hawks, winning a provincial championship this past season with the U15 team. Tyler has had a focus on skill development in his coaching career, running power skating and skills sessions for players as young as U5 all the way up to major junior. He was also part of the Hockey Nova Scotia High Performance Program as a player, coach and evaluator.
Please welcome the return of Anthony, and please welcome Tyler to the Buffalo Family!
