Wenatchee Wild Academy (5) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (6) U18 Prep Consolation
After a scoreless first Jaden Mah scored 57 seconds into the second and Zane Price added another power play goal 47 seconds later. Connor Ellingsen and Matteo Andrew (1G, 1A) traded goals as PMHA led 3-1. But Wenatchee grabbed a 4-3 lead as Cameron Kimmerly found the back of the net and Kaiden Jackson (2G, 1A) scored twice. Kalix Monkman tied the game with five seconds left in the second. Sanjay Chalupiak (1G, 1A) restored the Pilot Mound lead 5:17 into the third and Austin Polonoski (1G, 2A) doubled the lead midway through the period. Fischer Nicolet scored with two seconds left to bring Wenatchee within one but at that point it was nothing more than a consolation goal.
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (4) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (16) U18 Prep Consolation
Defenseman Calvin Coppess (3G, 1A) and forward Jacob Caron (3G, 3A) recorded hat-tricks while Max Jackson (1G, 3A) and CJ Watson (1G, 4A) chipped in with five points as CDA defeated Pilot Mound 16-4. Sanjay Chalupiak (1G, 1A), Kalix Monkman (1G, 1A), Zane Price (1G, 1A) and Jacob Rota scored for PMHA in the loss.
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) vs Notre Dame (2) U18 Prep Consolation
Despite outshooting Pilot Mound by nearly double at 40-21, Notre Dame was not able to consistently get the puck past Winnipeg, MB’s Quinn Burfoot (38/40) who stopped 38-shots on Saturday. Notre Dame’s offence opened the scoring with the initial two goals, but Pilot Mound’s offence ignited late in the third. Matteo Andrew (1G, 1A) erased the goosehead early in the second while Konnor Wilder and Jean-Mikael L’Heureux nabbed two tallies in the third to put Pilot Mound ahead and eventually win the final consolation game of the CSSHL U18 Prep season.
